Black Wool 2/48 "Japan" Flannel Wayfarer Coat Ⅲ, Natural Brown
The Wayfarer Coat is based on the British hunting jacket, but with a boldly altered silhouette. It means a coat for people who travel on foot. It features raglan sleeves and an A-line shape for a relaxed silhouette and comfort. With four pockets on the front and two more on the inside, it also has a high capacity.
This short coat was designed to be an outerwear for traveling. The length of the coat is shortened to make it easier to walk and ride in vehicles. It is also designed with a thicker silhouette so that you can wear clothes inside to adjust the temperature, and also to hide a camera or sachet inside to prevent theft when traveling abroad. This is a recommended piece of functional outerwear with plenty of pockets and an outdoor taste, finished with beautiful flannel and rich expression.
This flannel is made from black merino, which is the finest of the rare colored merinos at 21.5 microns. The sheep looks completely black, but the wool is dark brown when shorn. The combed wool #48 twisted yarn made from this undyed wool is woven on a "shuttle loom" in Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture, and then finished with natural water at a factory in Ogaki City, Gifu Prefecture, which has been in operation since the Meiji Era. It is a wonderful fabric with rich natural colors and a well-defined fabric grain.
