Two strands of BRATAC's renowned "21 den" silk yarn, prized as some of the finest in the world, are twisted together and woven at high density by Arashida Kinu-ori in Yonezawa, Yamagata -- a luxurious satin fabric. Arashida Kinu-ori is a weaving mill specializing in high-density silk textiles, drawing out a beautiful sheen and smooth drape through its refined craftsmanship. It is called "back satin" because the more lustrous satin face is used on the inside, while the side with a more subdued sheen faces outward. This tempers silk's characteristic brilliant sheen into a refined, understated impression, while achieving an ultimate smoothness against the skin on the inside. The result is a luxurious fabric that lets you fully savor silk's exquisite touch and elegant texture.
