Uses organic cotton from Uganda for the warp, and organic cotton yarn blended with silk recycled from kimono for the weft.
Kimono that were once sold in large quantities are now sold through secondhand circulation, but many are difficult to sell due to their color, pattern, or condition. These kimono are broken back down into fiber using a garnetting machine and blended with cotton. As a result, various flecks of silk color appear throughout the fabric, enriching its expression while adding silk's soft touch. A denim that lets you enjoy the lightness of 13.1oz along with a pure material feel.
