Since the backing yarn is directly attached to the outer yarn, it is characterized by a firm texture with reduced thickness. By using 30 count fine yarns for both the front and back yarns, the ridges running horizontally characteristic of inlays can hardly be seen. The air-spun yarns have a dry touch with a feeling of jerkiness.
