It is arranged based on the military jacket (A-2) worn by the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
The shoulder width is just right, and the voluminous sleeves give it a sense of presence as an outer garment. The knit ribs at the cuffs and hem and the distinctive front pockets follow the original design and have been reproduced to a high degree.
Horsehide (horsehide) was used at the time, but lamb leather has been used to create a more elegant piece.
